The inspiration, ideals and ideas for this Development Project originated in Glasgow, Scotland.

The passing of a Coaching legend earlier this year was a sad loss to Scottish Table Tennis.

Andy was a true innovator of new ideas concepts and techniques; anything to help players of any age or ability to understand the many skills required to reach their respective goals. I was fortunate enough to have come under Andy's wing as soon as I showed an interest in this sport over 34 years ago and his legacy now lives on in the West of Fiji with newly evolved training/coaching aids, specifically designed, manufactured and named after the man who passed on his love and enthusiasm for our sport to most people he came into contact with. Andy and I shared a similar sense of humour and many of his Table Tennis Stories from the West of Scotland in the 70's are being passed on to the newest generation of young players here in the West of Fiji and the Pacific.

I feel very proud to have been considered "one of his players" all those years ago.
