Top Honors for 16yr old Natabua High School student;

Stephie Guttersberger is the youngest in Fiji to qualify for ITTF-PTT Level 1 coach status. Stephie completed the course with top honours alongside 16 other participants where 5 others, including her father, gained the opportunity to achieve World-wide recognition once she completes the final steps of ITTF coach accreditation which is a further 30 hours of coaching practise................ no problem for a young lady who comes from a family dedidicated to the development of Table Tennis in the West of Fiji. Steffie's 15yr old brother has already represented Fiji at the World Junior Circuit and Oceania Championships whilst little sister Tanya (12yrs) is already on theITTF Womens World ranking list and is currently Fiji's #1 ranked under 15yrs athlete. Much credit to the dedicated parents of these 3 young "achievers" who are currently making the "Future of Table Tennis" in Fiji extremely bright!!!

•  Para TT Development News;   Mahogany Industries (Fiji) Ltd.   are happy to asist Butterfly Lautoka in their PTT Development project toward designing and building International Standard Table Tennis tables for all Special Education Schools throughout Fiji. This project will initially see Lautoka Special Education School build the first tables in their Vocational Training Centre for distribution to other districts preparing for the Fiji Paralympic Games.                                      International Coach and TT equipment expert Steve Reilly says; "Mahogany Industries Fiji Ltd immediately offered their expert advice along with specialised hardware items to complete the design of our New Concept TT table, whilst cutting down on material costs due to the application of the unique hardware devices provided by MIFL.  These Tables are specifically designed to be adaptable throughout the development and training process of both able bodied and Special Education athletes whilst conforming to ITTF/PTT standards for National & International competition.                       Lautoka Table Tennis Association are delighted with the assistance & support offered by this innovative local company and are proud to be associated with such professionalism toward our Sports Development Goals!!
