A beginners coaching course took place from 13-14th August; parents & Primary School teachers attended this school teachers certificate course as the initial step toward full ITTF level 1 coaching accreditation. Please Click on the links below to download further details and relevant forms;

Closely following the above coarse, Scott Houston conducted a Level 1 IPTTC (International Paralympics Table Tennis Committee) Coaches course on Sat/Sun 15-16th August. Further details are availabe here
Additional coaching experience and fun participation days were also organised throughout the OTTF Development Officers visit to Suva with National Team High Level training sessions run in Scott's free time between a very hectic schedule; See FTTA's invitation and schedule details!

RECENT EVENTS
World Cadet Challenge Qualification & World Junior Circuit- including International training camp in Australias Gold Coast took place from 26th Jun to 3rd July. Fijis top two Cadets;14yr old Ronak Jamnadas & 15yr old Carolyn Li competed for a place in the Oceania Team for the World Cadet Challenge Finals in Tokyo. They also competed in the Wold Junior Circuit Team event (under 18s) with 17yr old Christopher Lal & 16yr old Leighanne Antonio. Administration problems, coupled with time & financial constraints, prevented the young squad from taking part in the WJC individual events against their Pacific adversaries! A total of 62 competitors representing 7 countries including Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Cook Islands, Japan & Hong Kong vied for International honours.
